On May 2, 2024, during the 135th Canton Fair, the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce organized a symposium on yarn and fabric trade situation. Mr. Cao Jiachang, President of the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Liu Xiaoguang, second-level Inspector of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, and Mr. Zhou Shanqing, Deputy director of the China Foreign Trade Center, attended the meeting, as well as more than 50 representatives from the commercial bureau and enterprises of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Shandong, Guangdong and other provinces and cities.

The meeting was chaired by President Cao Jiachang, who said that the Textile Chamber of Commerce will support enterprises to develop yarn and fabric trade and cultivate new competitive advantages in the industry.

The textile department of the Textile Chamber of Commerce introduced the import and export of yarn fabrics in 2023 and the first quarter of this year. Under the influence of positive factors such as inventory digestion in Europe and the United States and the gradual recovery of external demand, the export of yarn fabrics in the first quarter of this year started smoothly. Looking forward to the whole year, China's yarn fabric exports are expected to increase slightly.
